Waqf Bill: There is intense opposition across the country regarding the Waqf Amendment Bill. At the same time, the Modi government is in no mood to step back on the Waqf Bill. Union Home Minister Amit Shah made it clear that the Waqf (Amendment) Bill will be introduced again in the current session of Parliament. The budget session of Parliament will run till April 4, so it has been decided that the government is going to introduce it in the remaining four working days. Meanwhile, Aligarh’s renowned Muslim religious leader Ifrahim Hussain has sent a letter to PM Narendra Modi demanding an investigation into those opposing the Waqf Bill. Ifrahim Hussain also wrote in his letter to the PM that a transparent policy should be made regarding the maintenance of Waqf properties and their proper use.

Religious leader Ifrahim Hussain has written in the letter that- those who are opposing this bill, why have they not yet demanded to free the Waqf property from the possession of land mafia and take strict action against it. The Muslim religious leader said that if these properties are used properly, then education, health and other basic facilities can be provided to the poor, orphans and needy people of the Muslim society.

Ifrahim Hussain has stressed in his letter that whatever work has been done so far regarding Waqf properties has been inadequate. He has raised the question whether Waqf properties are not in the possession of land mafias? Are the needy Muslim society able to get the benefit of these properties? If not, then it should be investigated seriously and strict action should be taken against the culprits.

He also said that some people who are leading the Muslim society are harming the society and depriving the needy Muslims of their rights. Such people should be identified and strict legal action should be taken against them. Religious leader Ifrahim Hussain also clarified that there is a need to use the Waqf properties in the right manner.

The Muslim religious leader said that if these properties are used properly, education, health and other basic facilities can be provided to the poor, orphans and needy people of the Muslim community. He alleged that some influential people and organizations are misusing the Waqf properties and its true benefits are not reaching the needy.

Apart from this, he appealed to the leaders and organizations of the Muslim community to work for the welfare of the society instead of doing politics on this issue. He said that for the betterment of the Muslim society, it is necessary that the Waqf properties are used properly and the needy sections of the society get their benefits. If this does not happen then it will be a big loss for the society.
