Sukkha, a shooter of Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang, has been nabbed by Navi Mumbai Police from Haryana’s Panipat in connection with the firing incident at Salman Khan’s residence, Bandra, reported a news agency. The arrest was conducted together with the police from the Panipat Sector 29 area. Sukkha from Rail Kalan village is said to be involved in firing at Salman Khan’s house and is the main accused in the case. The police claimed that Sukkha will be taken to Navi Mumbai and produce him before a court for remanding on Thursday.

The arrest is a very important stage in the case investigation process that caused considerable public interest. Later in June, the police disclosed that they had detected a plan to assassinate the actor Salman Khan on his way to his bungalow on a farm near Panvel in Navi Mumbai. This discovery occurred after a firing episode outside Khan’s Bandra residence in April 2024. The firing was suspected to be a bid on the actor’s life by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

In his statement given to the police earlier this year, Salman Khan had stated that he thought the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was out to murder him and his relations. Those are the words captured from the charge sheet filed by the Mumbai Police to court. The actor heightened his security concerns after another mysterious event in January 2024 when two ‘unknown’ people tried to get into his Panvel farmhouse on the pretext of some fake IDs.

The arrest of Sukkha was an important highlight in the case since the investigation is continuing. There is still hope that this move will push the authorities to achieve important developments in disrupting the criminal group and understand the actual purpose of the attack on Salman Khan.
