In a recent incident of mob lynching from Indore, Bhopal came to light where a 25-year-old bangle seller has been thrashed mercilessly for posing a fake identity. The man has been identified as Tasleem Ali who hid his original name and posed as a Hindu. A video of the incident that took place in Indore’s Govind Nagar area has become viral on the internet.
On approaching the state Home Minister Narottam Mishra about the mob lynching, he said that the victim posed as a Hindu man though he belonged to another community which led to the dispute. “In this connection, two Aadhaar cards were seized from him”, Narottam said. A case has been registered against both sides and an investigation is on by the Indore police.
Tasleem happens to be coming from neighboring state Uttar Pradesh’s Hardoi district. On his complaint, he mentioned that 5-6 people from the mob had not only beaten him but also snatched his mobile phone, 10,000 rs, aadhar card, other relevant documents, and bangles worth around rs 25000. The District magistrate has assured the culprits would be nabbed soon and required proceedings will be taken against them.
