In a bid to fasten the Vaccination process, the MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has organized a Mega Vaccination Drive in the state on 25-26 August. As it begins today, a total of 30-35 lakh beneficiaries are targeted to receive the vaccine under this campaign. On the first day, the vaccine doses will be given to both 1st dose and 2nd dose beneficiaries. Tomorrow, the priority would be given to only those who are waiting for their second doses.

The chief minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated the event from the Jain Temple premises in the Jawahar Chowk area of Bhopal. Chouhan also met union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya to urge him to allocate 11 lakh additional vaccines for the campaign. So far around 4.02 crores of vaccine doses have been provided to the state by the centre that includes 8122 doses on Tuesday alone.

MP reported 5 new corona positive cases on Tuesday and no casualties have been reported. The total active caseload in the state stands at 84 which is much lower than expected. The total number of recoveries in the state is around 7,81,500. Hopefully, with this mega vaccination drive, the state will soon lodge zero active caseloads.
