Gurugram: At night there were attacks on two mosques in Tauru, Nuh district, Haryana. The attackers rode on motorcycles. They even threw Molotov cocktails causing damage to the mosques. Fortunately, no one was injured. These incidents occurred around 11:30 pm on Wednesday. One of the mosques is situated near Vijay Chowk while the other is close to a police station. The police responded promptly by dispatching fire brigades to extinguish the flames.

Apart from the mosque attacks there was also a shop set on fire in Minar Gate market of Palwal district. The situation in Nuh and Palwal districts remains tense as they are currently under orders due to violence that erupted during a religious procession organized by Vishva Hindu Parishad on Monday. The violence spread to Gurugram on Tuesday resulting in casualties including the death of a cleric, destruction of an eatery and vandalism of shops.

Up until now, six people have lost their lives due to this violence, with 116 arrests made and 90 detentions carried out by the Haryana government in connection with these incidents.

Considering the tense situation prevailing in these affected districts the Haryana government has decided to extend the suspension of internet services until August 5th in Nuh Faridabad, Palwal districts along, with three sub divisions of Gurugram.

The authorities are closely keeping an eye on the situation in order to bring back peace and stability, to the region. However the violent incidents have caused worries about tensions, between communities and the safety of the public. They might take steps to manage the situation and avoid any escalation.
