New Delhi: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has begun its preparations to avoid mosquito breeding across different zones. Houses inspections, fogging activities, and special drives are being conducted at the hotspot, especially in areas with large-scale breeding is possible, said the senior official.
Although MCD reduced to confirm the report on any dengue figure in the Capital, it has initiated several anti-larval measures to prevent transmission of vector-borne diseases.
Last year in August, MCD stopped releasing weekly data on vector-borne diseases in lieu of the G20 Summit. the shower season begins by the end of June or the first week of July. The corporation has used “larva-eating fishes” called Gambusia affines extensively to target breeding at source at 216 biological control points across 12 zones.
