On Wednesday morning, the Indian Armed Forces executed Operation Sindoor to strike nine specific “terrorist infrastructure” locations extending from Pakistan into Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Indian Forces joined together through the Army, Navy, and Air Force to conduct precision strikes during a multi-year operation that became one of the largest cross-border operations in recent decades.

The military operation occurred after Pakistani-backed terrorists murdered 26 civilians and one Nepali national at the Baisaran area of Jammu and Kashmir. Indian Army announced its mission achievement through the X platform with this incisive message: “Justice is served. Jai Hind!”

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi showed continuous support for Operation Sindoor as he tracked its advancement throughout the night while previously pledging intensive actions against perpetrators in the Pahalgam massacre. Multiple high-ranking military and intelligence officials provided continuous updates about key milestones to Prime Minister Modi.

A fresh update shows Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) leader Masood Azhar acknowledging that strikes from Operation Sindoor eliminated 10 members of his family and four close associates. Azhar used his news agency sources to declare the attack violated international standards and threatened devastating consequences. According to news reports, his declaration stated, “This atrocity has violated every accepted standard so there can no longer be hopes for clemency.”

According to the Indian government, the operation represents essential self-defense action because it specifically targeted personnel who actively supported cross-border terrorist activities. Security stands at critical levels in border regions while Indian military units maintain elevated readiness to counter potential counterattacks.
