Srinagar: Marine Commandos and Security Personnel have reached the Srinagar region for the G20 meet security. As of now, the security has been tightened by the Government from air to ground to ensure that the G20 meet happens without any issues. The meeting will take place on Monday, 20 May 2023.
Dal Lake has also been undertaken by the Marine security personnel. The G20 meeting will take place at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC). The forces were sent near the areas on Thursday. Elite NSG personnels have also been sent to the area and its surroundings.
The security grid for the event consists of Army, Border Security Forces, Reserve Police Force, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and Sashastra Seema Bal. Some of the reports even say that the terrorists may try to interrupt the event. Due to this reason, the Government has deployed the soldiers to the area.
The security forces added that, “We have made three-tier security arrangements. Anti-drone equipment is being deployed with the help of NSG and army. For Dal Lake security, Marcos are being deployed besides the police. Police, BSF, CRPF and SSB are being deployed to ensure an incident-free event.”
