Shahjahanpur: A shocking and horrifying incident took place in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, according to reports a man named Raqeeb allegedly murdered his wife by slitting her throat resulting in her death. The incident occurred in the Shantipuram Colony, located in the Sadar Bazaar area. After committing this act Raqeeb fled the scene along, with his family members leaving behind a sense of fear and despair.

Raqeeb and his wife Khalida had been married for 13 years. Their relationship was plagued by arguments and conflicts. Due to their marriage Khalida had sought refuge at her parents house for the month. However on that day Raqeeb convinced Khalida to return home which eventually led to an argument escalating into a violent and fatal altercation.

In an act of brutality Raqeeb used a weapon to slit his wifes throat tragically ending her life instantly. The community was left shocked by the severity of this attack and immediate action was taken soon as authorities were informed about it. The police arrived swiftly at the crime scene securing the area while Khalidas lifeless body was sent for postmortem examination. Meanwhile Raqeeb is still, at large which has prompted the police to launch a manhunt in order to apprehend him.

The investigation has uncovered a history of violence within their relationship. Shahnavaz, Khalidas brother shared that eight years ago Raqeeb tried to set Khalida on fire, which suggests a recurring pattern of aggression and abuse. The conflict, between the couple has also involved Raqeebs parents making the situation more complex.

The community is deeply saddened by this tragedy and Khalidas parents along with relatives are struggling to come to terms, with the loss. Ongoing inquiries and investigations aim to reveal the story behind the circumstances that led to this event.
