Mamata Banerjee to Reign the West Bengal, Kerala Votes for Left, Assam Rewarded to BJP, DMK in Power in TN

India: The EC announces the results for the Assembly elections in the four-states and UTs. Mamata Banerjee looks to retain her vest in Bengal despite 10 years of anti-incumbency, while BJP surged to retain power in Assam.

Out of 292 seats that went to the poll, TMC leads the show with 215 seats until now, and BJP trails with 76. The PM took to his Twitter handle to congratulate the lady and said,” the centre will continue to extend all possible support to the West Bengal government.”

 While in Assam the BJP led alliance leads by 76 seats while the Congress alliances were at 48. The state polled fr126 Legislative assembly seats. BJP President JP Nadda thanked the people of Assam for giving the party a consecutive term in the state.

 He also said in a tweet, “Over the past 5 years, Assam has witnessed tremendous growth in all sectors with the double engine Gov. People have completely rejected the communal politics of the Congress & chosen the development politics of BJP. With the guidance of PM Modi, the state will now reach new heights.” 

In Kerala, Left-led LDF led by 95 seats out of the 140 while Congress-led UDF was at 43. CM Pinarayi said,” This is a victory of the masses. The people of Kerala deserve credit for this success. We believed in the people of the state and they believed in us too.”

Subsequently, MK Stalin’s DMK led alliance in Tamil Nadu flagged the race with148 seat outs of 234, while AIADMK led alliances trailed with only 84 seats.

Lastly, the NDA comprising AINRC, BJP and AIADMK led with14 seats out of 30 in the Puducherry Legislative assembly.
