Madhya Pradesh: The Shivraj Singh Govt is scheduled to celebrate Ladki Laxmi Utsav on the occasion of Durga Navami today at 3 pm at the Minto Hall. The administration had decided to broadcast the event on webcast link Doordarshan, AIR, Public Relations Twitter, Facebook, and all social media platforms including YouTube Channel run by the State Women and Child Development Department. Roughly this broadcast is expected to 40 lakh girls from Angandwadi and Panchayat regions.
During the event, CM Chouhan would initiate an online transfer of the scholarship of Rs 55.99 crore for the benefit of 21,550 female children of the state. It is also informed that after completing 2 years of education, the state govt has promised to provide financial assistance of Rs 20,000 to pursue graduation and vocational courses.
During a meeting held on Tuesday, CM’s cabinet decided on the itineraries of the event to be celebrated today. Asserting on progressing the girl child and making her self-dependent, the administration stated to take suggestions from the public for the betterment of Ladli Laxmi Yojana 2.0.
The Ladli Laxmi Yojana was implemented in the state in 2007 with the objective of laying the foundation stone for the bright future of the girl child, Since the inception of the program nearly, 39.81 lakh girls across the state have benefitted. Henceforth the administration has flagged Ladli Laxmi as a state festival that will be celebrated once every year across the state.
