Bhopal: The second day of the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha witnessed ruckus as the opposition raised issues over inflation, OBC reservation and tribal affairs. The house was adjourned till 12 noon after chaos prevailed.
After the proceedings re-commenced, the Supplementary Budget and all the Bills were presented.
A supplementary budget of nearly Rs 44.65 crore 40 lakh 80 thousand 298 was passed while the Municipal Law Act was amended. The opposition took down the Shivraj party over its sole decision to amend the Excise Act.
During the Question Hour, former CM of the state and member of the opposition Kamal Nath initiated the dialogue over rising fuel prices.
The assembly witnessed chaos after, Finance Minister Jagdish Deora retaliated the dialogue stating persistence of inflation since the former CM’s reign.
The opposition also criticized the government for not issuing a public holiday on the ‘tribal day’ and paying no heed to their development.
Both the opposition parties have been issuing scathing comments and allegations over each other since the inception of the monsoon session.
