Rajasthan: As many as 11 people died and seven suffered injuries in a road accident in Rajasthan on Tuesday. As per sources, the accident was reported from Nagaur, near Shri Balaji Highway. Amongst those dead, were 8 women and belonged to Ujjain from Madhya Pradesh. As per the details revealed by the police officials, the victims were returning from Ramdevra and Karni Mata temples. The vehicle of the victims identified as a van cruised past a truck. Those injured were shifted to a hospital in Bikaner’s Nokha for treatment, reported Shri Balaji Police Station SHO.
Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot expressed grief over the accident while PM Modi took to his microblogging site and offered condolences to the kin of the victim. He also approved an ex-gratia of Ra 2 Lakh each from PMNRF for the kin of the victims at the accident in Nagaur, Rajasthan. The injured would r given a sum of Rs 50,000 as financial aid.
Earlier today, Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh to the kin of the 11 hailing from Ujjain. He also ascertained that the state government would bear the entire cost of treatment for the injured.
