Lookout Notice Issued Against Farmer Leaders Involved in Tractor Rally Violence in National Capital

New Delhi: Two days back, when the nation was celebrating the 72ndRepublic day, violence broke out multiple times at several places in the national capital, followed by the farmer leaders’ massive tractor rally.

The Delhi police, in view of the violence, issued a LOC (Lookout Notice) against the farmer leaders who were prominently involved in the violence. The immigration department has also joined hands with the Delhi police in this operation.

The Delhi police, in their statement, has revealed that one of the vital parts of this process is to seize the passports of the identified and accused farmer leaders.

Notably, a day ago, Delhi police filed an FIR against 37 farmer leaders at Samaypur Badli police station for the violence taken place on Tuesday, which injured a number of personnel.

The list includes Buta Singh, Medha Patkar, Rakesh Tikait, Darshan Pal, Balbir Singh Rajewal, Rajinder Singh, Yogendra Yadav, and 30 more farmer leaders, among which 19 have already been arrested.

As per the statement given by the police about the farmer leaders’ creating nuisance, it was entirely a ‘preplanned objective’.

“Their preplanned objective of not following the mutually agreed route and the timing of the commencement of the so-called parade was to disrupt the Republic Day Parade and the protesters resorted to the above said acts, and their gathering was also in violation of the guidelines in view of COVID-19”.

The violence also caused damage to several public and private properties. Meanwhile, the police personnel has tightened the security around different border points as the farmers continue their protest.
