Late Actor, Irrfan Khan’s Wife Writes an Emotional Note for Son Babil Who Broke down at Filmfare Awards

Mumbai: On April 29, 2020, eminent actor Irrfan khan took his last breath and lost his fight against a rare neuroendocrine tumor. He suffered from this disease for two years and got himself treated in the UK but fate had some other plans for him. He came back to Mumbai to finish his last movie (quite ironically) and took his last breath as well. In the recently conducted Filmfare awards show, Irrfan was chosen for receiving the award as the best actor male for his role in Angrezi medium.

In his absence, his son Babil khan took to the stage to receive the award. He got very emotional to his father’s mention but showed courage to receive the award on his behalf. His mother and late actor’s wife Sutapa Sikdar took to her Instagram to write an emotional note for the boy who broke down in front of all.

The note is in Hindi which means, “He is a very strong man. He cries in front of everyone, not secretly. He is a very strong man. He gathers the memories of his father with delicate fingers, spreads them like a fragrance”. Wherever Irrfan is, he might be smiling right back at them.
