MADHYA PRADESH: The last rites of veteran socialist leader and former union minister Sharad Yadav, will take place at his native place in MP, a close source said. Sharad Yadav (75), former Janata Dal (United) president died on Thursday.
Former JD (U) Madhya Pradesh unit head and a close associate of Yadav, Govind Yadav, said the veteran leader’s last rites will be performed at his ancestral village Ankhmau in Babai tehsil of Narmadapuram (earlier Hoshangabad) district on Saturday.
Updating the media reporters on his last rites, he further added that the mortal remains of Yadav will be airlifted from Delhi to Madhya Pradesh. According to the hospital statement in Delhi, where Yadav was taken – He was declared on arrival.
“He underwent CPR as per ACLS protocols. Despite best efforts, he could not be revived and was declared dead at 10.19 PM. We would like to convey our deepest condolences to his family,: statement issued by Fortis Hospital.
Sharad Yadav build a strong foothold in politics after he won the 1974 Lok Sabha elections from Jabalpur constituency. Yadav won the Lok Sabha elections 7 times and was Rajya Sabha MP 4 times.
