New Delhi: The Indian Air Force is now fully prepared to deal with the growing defense challenges of the country. The Air Force tweeted on Thursday that the last of the 36 Rafale aircraft purchased from France has landed on Indian soil. With this, the consignment is now entirely complete. The Indian Air Force (IAF) has shared an update on Twitter. In this, with the picture of the Rafale aircraft, it is written, “FEET DRY! ‘The Pack is Complete’. The last of the 36 IAF Rafales landed in India after a quick enroute sip from a UAE Air Force tanker. Shukran jazeelan.”
Apparently, five aircraft had landed at Ambala Air Force Station in July 2020 in the first batch of the Rafale aircraft consignment. It was considered a game changer for the security of the Indian Air Force and the country. Regarding this, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said, “The Rafale deal was a game changer for India’s national security and its induction is a strong message for the world and especially for those who challenge India’s sovereignty.”
Notably, the cost of each Rafale jet is expected to be around 670 crore rupees. Rafale is the 4.5 generation fighter jet that will make India’s defense system quite stronger. It is one of the deadliest fighter jets in the world. It was procured by the Indian government after a lengthy scrutiny by the Indian Air Force teams. These rafale jets can outperform SAAB Gripen, Typhoon, MiG 35, F-16, and other such fighter jets available in the country.
