New Delhi: India records 3,720 fresh infections in the past 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry reported.
The recovery rate at 98.73 per cent accounted for 7,698 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 4,43,84,955. The daily positivity rate stood at 2.47 per cent, less than 5 per cent.
The active caseload stands at 40,177 accounting for 0.09 per cent of the total number of cases when 1,50,735 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. However, the mortality rate recorded at 1.18 per cent, taking the cumulative death toll to 5,31,584.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Ministry of Finance said that Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) can submit their claims till June 30 under the scheme meant for compensating them for damages from non-execution of contracts during pandemic period. The Vivad se Vishwas I- Relied to MSMEs scheme was announced under the Union Budget 2023 by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to provide relief in continuation to the efforts of the Indian government in promoting and sustaining the MSME sector in the post-pandemic era.
Over 220.66 crore beneficiaries have been immunized against the novel virus. In the past 24 hours, 2,459 individuals were vaccinated under the nationwide vaccination program.
