New Delhi: The Narcotics Control Bureau on Tuesday claimed to have busted the pan-India drug trafficking network on the dark web. With the largest ever seizure of 15000 LSD blots in one operation and the arrested six people.
LSD or lysergic acid diethylamide is a synthetic chemical-based drug and is categorized as a hallucinogen. LSD abuse is largely prevalent among youngsters and can lead to severe health issues. The network, which operated in the darknet and used cryptocurrencies for payments was spread across the Netherlands, Poland, United States, as well as various Indian states.
Gyaneshwar Singh, NCB deputy director general (northern range) said that this was the largest-ever seizure of LSD blots in India in a single operation. Earlier in 2021, Karnataka Police conducted an operation to seize 5000 blots of LSD and in 2022, Kolkata NCD seized LSD in large amounts.
