Mumbai: After being arrested for alleged involvement in pornography scam, elite businessman and husband of Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra had recently applied for anticipatory bail.
Currently in 14 day judicial custody, Kundra’s bail plea was postponed from 30 July to 2 August. Yet again, today the anticipatory bail hearing was adjourned till 7th August.
In the meanwhile, Shilpa Shetty took to her social media page and released her first statement. The actress shared a statement on Twitter presenting her stand and clearing out all rumours and accusations.
Shilpa Shetty’s statement reads, “Yes! The past few days have been challenging, on every front. There have been a lot of rumours and accusations. A lot of unwarranted aspersions on me cast by the media and (not so) well wishers as well. A lot of trolling/questions posed not only to me but also to my family. MY STAND I HAVE NOT COMMENTED YET and will continue to refrain from doing so in this case as it is subjudice, so please stop attributing false quotes on my behalf (sic).”
Shilpa had earlier moved to Bombay High Court lodging a defamatory case over media and social media platforms. Raj Kundra was arrested on 19 July by the Crime Branch Mumbai citing alleged involvement in porn film production.
