Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge claimed that it is just PM Narendra Modi’s wrong practice to instigate voters. As a result, he demanded that the Election Commission take prompt action on his earlier claim, in which PM Modi concluded that the Opposition INDIA had zero stand on the Ram Temple issue.
Kharge said, “A commission should be put into place by the Election Commission, which will take the necessary measures against those making provocative speeches. They should not continue to rely on bulldozers in this process. The Prime Minister himself is no less of a guilty party. He’s inflaming people.” Kharge emphasized that if we leave it to the government, everything will be well defended as our government must do so once our government takes charge, as per our constitution.
Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray were also present with Mr. Kharge during a press conference in Mumbai. The criticism was withheld against the Election Commission for withdrawing their party symbols, allocated to BJP-backed factions instead of the “Genuine Parties” in Maharashtra.
“The government of ‘Mahayuti’ which is very much an illegal one for the state of Maharashtra was born out of deception and conspiracy, with nod from the PM himself. His politically motivated rallies across the state spread nothing but animosity among us, the people of Maharashtra,” he alleged. “The elections were times where real parties had to face the brunt of BJP factions. From BJP’s side, it was compulsory due to the whims of the court and the ECI, an impression which Modi could be in line with” was what Kharge emphasizes.
He reflected on a favorable balance of INDIA’s Block in Maharashtra, predicting complete victory for the party. “INDIA block is projected to serve 46 out of 48 seats in Maharashtra. People themselves are expressing this sense of satisfaction. Our team will compile and file in a court of law.”
By explaining the nature of the AAP-Congress alliance, which leads to continuous strife within the two parties and not just against BJP in Delhi but also independently from each other in Punjab, he reiterated the importance of democratic principles. “This is democracy and not autocracy. We shall have the measures to downfall BJP party”, he asserted.
