Police reached the hospital soon after Santosh was admitted. “I don’t know why he did this, Doctor’s are treating him”, Yediyurappa commented on the incident, adding – “I will speak to the members of his family, I don’t know the reason, he is stable now, there is nothing to worry about”.
The information that has come into focus throughout the investigation indicates that he was suffering from depression. However, the hospital is yet to give its statement regarding the case. Yeddyurappa said, “Santosh is receiving good treatment and we walked together for 45 minutes in the morning”.
Santosh was appointed as the Chief Minister’s Political Secretary in May 2020. He has served as Yediyurappa’s assistant since the BJP veteran was the Leader of Opposition and the party’s State President.
Recently, there was some information disclosed that Santosh might resign from his post as there was a difference between him and Yediyurappa’s inner circle. Santosh is said to have been nursing political ambition on the next assembly polls.
