Karnataka: In a shocking incident, a woman from the Kolar district of Karnataka set her two daughters on fire due to a family dispute. One of the daughters died in this incident. Police say that the age of the deceased was just six years. The other daughter has been admitted to the hospital in critical condition.
According to the police, the woman has been identified as Jyoti. She lives in Mulabagilu in the Kolar district. It has also come to the fore that the woman was about to set herself on fire as well. However, the local people stopped her. On the other hand, the police have taken the woman into custody and she is being interrogated.
“A woman, Jyoti, set ablaze her 2 daughters due to family dispute in Mulabagilu, Kolar dist on Wednesday. Her 6-year-old daughter died while another sustained injuries & was rushed to hospital. The woman too was about to set herself ablaze but was stopped by locals. The woman, Jyoti has been taken into custody by the police and is being interrogated. Victims are residents of Kurubanahalli in Ramasamudram, Andhra Pradesh”, a leading daily quoted.
The exact reason behind such a heinous act has not been revealed yet. It is expected to come out with further investigations by the police. The details of her other family members are also being looked at. The other daughter is being treated in the hospital as of now.
