Bengaluru: On Friday, Chief Minister of Karnataka, BS Yediyurappa informed that he has tested Covid positive for the second time. The 78-year-old leader said in a tweet, “Upon having mild fever, today I got tested for Covid-19 and my report has come out positive. Although I am doing fine, I am being hospitalized based on the advice of doctors”. He further added, “I request all those who have come in my contact recently to be observant and exercise self-quarantine”.

Earlier in the day, the CM was admitted to the Ramaiah Memorial hospital from where he was shifted to Manipal hospital. The CM had held a meeting earlier in the morning at his residence. The meeting was all about the situation of Covid-19 in the state. After the meeting, the CM said, “The scenario in our state is different. No need to compare our state with other states. We have our own issues which need to be addressed. As far as Covid-19 is concerned, appropriate action will be taken to curb it in the state”.

The CM also informed that the night curfew will continue till April 20 in the state. Last year in August, the leader tested positive for Covid-19 for the first time. Along with him, some of his family members had also tested positive. In March, the CM had taken the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
