Kishtwar: The Army has established contact with some terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district and a gunfight is underway in the Dul area of the valley. Two terrorists are believed to be holed up at Dool on the Kishtwar-Paddar road on Sunday morning, and security forces established contact with them during searches in the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir ahead of Independence Day.
“Alert Indian Army troops while carrying out an intelligence-based operation have established contact with terrorists in the general area of Dul in Kishtwar in the early hours of 10 Aug 2025. Gunfire exchanged. Operation under progress.”, informed White Knight Corps on X.
The ongoing military operation in the Kulgam district took a tragic turn after Lance Naik Pritpal Singh and Sepoy Harminder Singh were killed during overnight firing. Their deaths occurred on the ninth day of “Operation Akhal“.
