Voting for the first phase of the 81-member Jharkhand Assembly will be held on Wednesday (November 13), before this, a round of allegations and counter-allegations is going on between the leaders of political parties in the state. Meanwhile, Jamiat Ulema in Lohardaga district has appealed to the Muslim community to cast their vote only to the candidate of the “India” alliance, which has been attacked by the BJP.

Between October 18 and 25, 805 candidates submitted their nominations for these 43 Assembly seats. After scrutiny, 743 nominations were accepted.
Following the withdrawal of 58 nominations, 685 candidates remain in the race, according to an official source quoted by PTI.
The election results will be announced on November 23, with counting starting at 8 a.m.
The main contest is between the BJP-led NDA and the JMM-led INDIA bloc.
The BJP is allied with AJSU, JDU, and LJP, while JMM has partnered with Congress, Left parties, and RJD.
Jharkhand has 24 districts and 81 Assembly seats, including 44 general seats.
There are 29,562 polling stations across the state, with 5,042 in urban areas and 24,520 in rural areas.

- Enter your Voter ID (EPIC) number
- Complete the Captcha and submit
- View details such as the names and contact numbers of the Booth Level Officer, Electoral Registration Officer, and District Election Officer
- The portal also shows information about your polling booth, as well as your assembly and parliamentary constituencies.
