On Friday, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar told Pakistan directly that India is not giving in to nuclear pressure and will face terror acts with stern measures. Talking at an event in Vadodara, Gujarat, Jaishankar stressed India’s firm stand toward keeping the nation safe and opposing terrorism.

After the April 22 attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which took the lives of Indian security personnel, Jaishankar said the attackers had two aims: to stop the region’s growing tourism business and to cause unrest between religious groups. We saw that the main goal was to weaken the tourism industry in Jammu and Kashmir and add fuel to religious conflict, said Khanduri.

The minister pointed out that India responded with a clear and successful action. He explained that the ruthlessness of the attacks demanded a powerful reaction, which was achieved by destroying the main terrorist groups in both Bahawalpur and Muridke.

Warned Pakistan, saying, “Anyone who helps, supports, and uses terrorism should face serious consequences. We shall never allow ourselves to be threatened by nuclear weapons.”

He noted how many countries agreed with India’s right to combat terrorism.

On an international level, Jaishankar spoke against new forms of sway that were appearing after the era of colonization. He said that, though colonialism has ended, new ways of controlling countries take advantage of the disruptions caused by globalization, and he criticized countries that treat diplomacy as a business rather than as an equal partnership.

He added that India values compassion and cultural respect.
