International Women’s Day is celebrated worldwide on March 8. It is a day of celebration, cherishing women’s accomplishments while nurturing gender equality and reflecting upon the challenges that lie ahead.

On International Women’s Day, PM Modi will hand over his social media accounts to a select group for a day. Inspiring women can share their achievements, experiences, and challenges with the nation through this move.

In a tweet Narendra Modi wrote, “We bow to our Nari Shakti on WOmens Day! Our Government has always worked for empowering women reflecting in our schemes and programmes”.

He further highlighted the achievements and contribution of women in India. In a series of tweet, he posted various pictures and wrote about Elina and SHilpi who have nuclear scientist and space scientists adorning PM’s social media properties.

International Women’s Day is a tribute to the strength, resilience, and achievements of women worldwide.

The theme for International Women’s Day 2025 is “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.” It called for immediate action against systemic barriers that hold back progress for women and girls globally.
