Indore: The Grand Marshal Sealed; Collector issues Stringent Penalties Against the Proprietors

Indore: The collector’s orders went tough on the Grand Marshal Resorts and Clubs. The resort was raided and seized on orders of the district administration team late in the night after nearly 2000 people were present at the resort violating the COVID norms for celebrating Holi. It is reported that the resort has breached the rules earlier as well.

Strict action has been ordered against the proprietors Pappu alias Prakash Rathore, Bhupendra Rathore, Tivkal Jain, and Chandprakash Purohit.   

All indoor activities at the Swimming pool and the Tennis Club were curbed. The DJ Party was choked. A four-hour operation was carried out to bring down the illegal activities at the location.

The raid was carried out by Tehsildar Bajrang Bahadur’s team. Several leaders including BJP leader and former mayor Umesh Sharma and MLA Malini Gaur have demanded rasua on the operators.

The Grand Marshal was earlier penalized for the violation of COVID norms during the lockdown. This mass gathering has raised questions on the efficiency of the Betma Police.
