IndiGo would have over 2,050 flights on its second consecutive day on Saturday, December 13, a sign of a consistent recovery of usual operation throughout its networks after it experienced setbacks in about two weeks. The better performance of the airline implies stability in its operations after making schedule changes in accordance with governmental requirements.

According to an IndiGo spokesman, the carrier has been recording steady recovery in the last few days. Having shown consistent normalisation of operations and stability at every consecutive day in the past five days, IndiGo is scheduled to fly to more than 2,050 destinations today according to its adjusted schedule. The 138 destinations we serve are all linked and our on time performance has been considered normal according to the IndiGo standards, the spokesperson said.

On December 12, the airline had already demonstrated the signs of recovery, as it was running approximately 2,050 flights with much fewer cancellations. The airline claims that two flights were cancelled because of technical reasons and that the passengers who were affected were immediately re-scheduled in other flights.

In the meantime, IndiGo has been reportedly fined almost 59 crore a fine the airline is looking to appeal. Nevertheless, the carrier has placed a strong emphasis on the fact that its focus always lies on customer support and regaining the confidence of passengers who experienced disruptions in the recent past.

In a release on Friday about refunds and compensation, IndiGo indicated that it is mainly concerned about ensuring that all the refunds of the affected customers are done in a fast and efficient manner. The airline added that the majority of its passengers had gotten their refunds already whereas the rest of the cases were supposed to be sorted out in the near future.

In another announcement, IndiGo indicated that it will target severely impacted passengers and contact them in January on compensations. The airline projected that the compensation payout might amount to more than 500 crore.
