IndiGo has recently declared that there will be new direct flights between London (Heathrow) and Delhi, and this will enhance its expanding international flights. In addition to this, IndiGo has also declared the commencement of direct flights to Athens in January 2026, which further supports its international expansion strategy.
In the last 12 months, as it continues its overall internationalisation policy, IndiGo has introduced 10 new international destinations, and over 30 new international routes between different cities in India.
In commenting on the announcement, IndiGo Chief Executive Officer Pieter Elbers indicated that the new Delhi-London service will be used to satisfy the increasing demand of traveling because of business, tourist and visiting friends and family.
