IndiGo Crisis: IndiGo’s torture of passengers continues. Despite the central government’s ultimatum, flight services of the country’s largest airline, IndiGo, failed to return to normal on Monday. Today (December 8), for the seventh day, more than 350 flights had been cancelled by 10 am. More than 350 flights have been cancelled from Delhi, Srinagar, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru airports.

However, the company claims to be operating 1,650 of its 2,300 daily flights. The company claims to have operations restored within three days. The government, through the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), has issued an ultimatum to IndiGo’s CEO to respond, and normal operations are expected by December 10th. Previously, the company had stated that normal operations would return between December 10th and 15th.

IndiGo passengers at both the major airports in Delhi (IGI) and Mumbai were also seen facing problems due to flight cancellations on Monday. The country’s largest airline cancelled over 650 flights on Sunday, though this number is less than the 1000-plus cancellations two days ago. Delhi Airport (IGI) has advised passengers to check the latest status of their flights before arriving at the airport. The airport said that its teams are working closely with all stakeholders to minimise the disruption.

Delhi Airport said in its advisory, “IndiGo flights may still be delayed. Passengers are requested to check the latest flight status with their airline before arriving at the airport to avoid any inconvenience. Our team is working closely with all relevant parties to minimize disruption and ensure a smooth travel experience for passengers.
