New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), a 28-party Opposition alliance, stating that all its constituents are dynastic and have joined forces to further their own interests. Shah referred to them as “parivarvadis” or dynasts and called the opposition bloc “ghamandiya” or arrogant. He questioned whether these dynastic leaders could truly serve the people’s interests, given their focus on promoting their own family members in politics.

Speaking at an ‘Antyodaya Mahasammelan’ program organized by the Haryana government in Karnal, Amit Shah made these remarks while celebrating the nine-year tenure of the Manohar Lal Khattar-led government in the state. The 28-party Opposition alliance aims to challenge the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Shah also took a swipe at the Congress party, describing it as a party known for “cut, commission, and corruption.” He criticized former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Hooda for his alleged misrule and questioned the development and governance during his tenure.

Amit Shah highlighted the BJP’s commitment to merit-based job opportunities and accused the Congress of obstructing the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya for several decades. He claimed that the Congress had delayed the resolution of the Ram Temple issue and impeded its construction in Ayodhya for an extended period.

In response to Amit Shah’s comments, Bhupinder Hooda accused the BJP government of indulging in corruption during its nine years in power at the central level. He claimed that the government had mistreated farmers, cut welfare schemes for the poor, and increased the country’s debt liability.

The exchange between Amit Shah and Bhupinder Hooda underscores the political polarization and rivalry in Indian politics, with both major parties leveling allegations against each other’s governance records and intentions. As the Lok Sabha elections approach, such confrontations are likely to intensify as political parties strive to secure public support and gain a competitive edge.
