New Delhi: The Indian Olympic contingent for Summer Olympics 2020 arrived at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg, the official address of PM Modi to have breakfast with him. PM Modi is hosting the breakfast for the contingent today.
PM Modi on Sunday greeted the Olympic athletes after the conclusion of his Independence Day address at Red Fort. He applauded the Indian Athletes for their efforts and victory during the Olympics 2020. “The country is proud of them for bringing glory to the nation and have become an inspiration for future generations”, he said.
He also highlighted the awareness of sports and physical fitness that helped India record its best-ever medal haul with one Gold, two Silver, and four Bronze .
Amongst the athletes, Gold Medallist Neeraj Chopra, Mirabai Chanu along with officials of the Sports Authority of India were present at the Red Fort on the occasion of the 75th Independence day.
On Saturday, President Ram Nath Kovind hosted a “High Tea’ for the Indian Contingent at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre. The occasion was also solicited by Vice President M Venkaiah Nadu. He congratulated the teams and coaches for their hardcore efforts.
