New Delhi: India recorded 67,084 fresh infections in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate at 96.95 per cent accounted for 1,67,882 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 4,11,80,751. The daily positivity rate stood at 4.44 per cent.
The number of active cases stood at 7,90,789 accounting for 1.86 per cent of the total number of cases. The active cases reported a drop by 1,02,039 in the last 24 hours. However, the mortality rate stood at 1.19 per cent reported spike in deaths recording 1241 fatalities, taking the cumulative death toll to 5,06,520.
Worst hit state Maharashtra reported 7,142 new cases during the last 24 hours. This took the cumulative active tally to 78,23,385. The active tally stood at 86,847 while the death toll stood at 1,43,247. Meanwhile, the national capital recorded 6,304 active cases. The total number of infections stood at 18,47,515.
The health bulletin documented 171.28. crore cumulative vaccinations under the nationwide vaccination drive, including 46.44 lakh administrations in the past 24 hours. According to ICMR,74.61 crore total tests are conducted so far including 15,11,321 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.
