New Delhi: India on Monday reported its fourteenth case of monkeypox from New Delhi. A 30-year-old Nigerian woman tested positive for monkeypox, officials said after the Nigerians’ returned positive on Sunday.
Reports state the infected individual was admitted to the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan (LNJP) Hospital in the national capital with blisters and pus-filled lesions on her genitals on September 16.
Another suspected patient, also of Nigerian origin, was admitted to the state-run hospital on Sunday. His test reports are awaited.
