New Delhi: India recorded 4,417 fresh infections in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate at 98.69 per cent accounted for 6,032 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 4,38,86,496. The daily positivity rate stood at 1.20 per cent. India had reported 3,714 new cases in a span of 24 hours on June 6.

The number of active cases stood at 52,336 accounting for 0.12 per cent of the total number of cases. However, the mortality rate stood at 1.20 per cent recorded 23 fatalities taking the cumulative death toll to 5,28,030.

With the administration of 19,93,670 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 213.72 crore according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

According to the health ministry, more than 201.93 crore (2,01,93,09,325) vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far through Govt. of India (free of cost channel) and through direct state procurement category. More than 5.15 Cr (5,15,20,170) balance and unutilized COVID Vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered.

In the last 24 hours, ICMR tested 3,67,490 infected samples. So far, 88.77 crore tests have been conducted.
