New Delhi: India recorded 41,649 fresh infections in the past 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry reported. The recovery rate at 97.37 percent accounted for 37,291 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 3,07,81,263. The daily positivity rate stood at 2.34 per cent, less than 5 per cent.
The active caseload stands at 4,08,920 accounting for 1.29 per cent of the total number of cases. 3,765 active cases were reported in the last 24 hours. However, the mortality rate recorded at 1.34 per cent reported 593 fatalities, taking the cumulative death toll to 4, 23,810.
The Centre on Thursday, directed all departments to give high priority to COVID-19 public grievances and resolve them within a maximum of three days, according to an official order.
