New Delhi: India recorded 41,383 fresh infections in the past 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry reported. The recovery rate at 97.35 percent accounted for 38,652 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 3,04,29,339. The daily positivity rate stood at 2.41 per cent, less than 3 per cent for a month now.
The active caseload stands at 4,09,394 accounting for 1.31 per cent of the total number of cases. 2,224 active cases were reported in the last 24 hours. However, the mortality rate recorded at 1.34 per cent reported 507 fatalities, taking the cumulative death toll to 4,18,987.
Health officials have reported the detection of three different variants of COVID-19- Alpha, Delta, and Beta in 75 cases of Mizoram. The samples were sent for genome sequencing to the National Institute of Biochemical Genomics, Kalyani in West Bengal in June this year.
India so far reported more than 45,000 cases of Black Fungus cases over the last two months, stated Junior Health Minister Bharati Pravin Pawar told the parliament on Tuesday. The health bulletin informed 4,200 deaths have been attributed to the post-COVID complication.
As per MoHFW, 41.78 crore beneficiaries have been vaccinated under the national vaccination drive.
