New Delhi: India recorded 30,093 fresh infections in the past 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry reported.
The recovery rate at 97.32 percent accounted for 45,254 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 3,03,53,710. The daily positivity rate stood at 1.68 per cent, less than 3 per cent for 29 consecutive days.
The active caseload stands at 4,06,130 accounting for 1.35 per cent of the total number of cases.1,55,35 active cases were reported in the last 24 hours. However, the mortality rate recorded at 1.33 per cent reported 374 fatalities, taking the cumulative death toll to 4,14,482.
Up to 41.18 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive that began in January this year, government data shows. In the past 24 hours alone, 52,67,309 beneficiaries were vaccinated.
The testing capacity substantially ramped up after ICMR tested 17,92,3 6 6 infected samples in the past 24 hours. So far, 44.73 crore samples have been tested. Sikkim state government reported that nearly 99 percent of the infected samples sent for genome sequencing presented the Delta Variant.
