New Delhi: India reported 92,596 fresh infections in the past 24 hours. This took the cumulative count of infections to 2,90,89,069, stated the Union Health Ministry. On Wednesday morning bulletin, 2,219 mortalities were recorded, taking the cumulative death toll to 3,53,528.
With a recovery rate of 94.55 percent, 1,62,664 individuals recuperated after hospitalization in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 2,75,04,126.
The number of active cases has reduced to 12,31,415 accounting for 4.23 percent of the total number of cases. The active cases reported a decline of 72,287 in the last 24 hours.

The Centre capped the price for COVISHIELD for private hospitals at Rs 780 per dose, Russian vaccina Sputnik V can be administered at Rs 1,145 per dose and COVAXIN at Rs 1,410 per dose. All these charges are inclusive of the tax and service charges for the hospitals.
