New Delhi: India records 3,877 COVID-19 related deaths on Wednesday, raising the total number of fatalities to 2,87,156. The Union Health Ministry confirmed 2,76,193 new infections across the country in the past 24 hours, meaning so far 2.76 crore people have contracted the disease. Of the total number of cases, 31,25,056 remain active and 3,69,005 recuperated.
Cyclone that hit Maharashtra and Gujarat recorded 34,031 and 5,246 respectively. Both the state administration is accessing the after-effects of the storm and are updating their health systems.

Rajasthan and Telangana notified mucormycosis as an epidemic. Rajasthan is treating 100 black fungus patients in its Black fungus special ward at Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital in Jaipur.
