NEW DELHI: India added over 800 COVID-19 cases in a day after a hiatus of 126 days on Saturday according to the updated data. The number of active cases climbed to 5,389 accounting for 0.01 percent of the total infections.
843 fresh coronavirus infections took the country’s COVID tally to 4.46 crore (4,46,94,349). The death toll accounting for 1.19 percent stood at 5,30,799.
The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 4,41,58,161 with the recuperative rate at 98.80 percent.
Under the nation wide vaccination drive 220.64 crore doses have been adminstered so far including 9,095 administered in the past 24 hours.
