Chandigarh: India celebrates its 90th Indian Airforce Day today with the main aim of paying tribute to Air Force of India and acknowledge their contribution and excellence India has presented in the field. IAF hosts its parade and fly-past in Chandigarh today as President Droupade Murmu and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh shall be present at Sukhna Lake to witness the aerial show.
“We have inherited the proud legacy curated by sheer hard work, perseverance, & vision of our predecessors. Right to acknowledge the contribution of our veterans who chartered this course”, IAF chief said in his address.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered greetings to the courageous air warriors and their families through a tweet.
Indian Airforce was founded on 8 October 1932, and since then the force has been a part of several essential and landmark missions. Its glorious battles have helped India on the battlefield and build strong reputation.
