New Delhi: India recorded 795 fresh infections in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate at 98.76 per cent accounted for 1,280 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 4,24,96,369. The daily positivity rate stood at 0.17 per cent.
The number of active cases stood at 12,054 accounting for 0.03 per cent of the total number of cases. The active cases reported a drop of 543 in the last 24 hours. However, the mortality rate recorded at 1.21 per cent reported 58 fatalities, taking the cumulative death toll to 5,21,416.
As per the statistics reported to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, over 184.87 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country including 16.17 lakh doses given in the last 24 hours.
COVID-19 vaccination for the age group 12-14 years was started on 16 March, 2022. So far, more than 1.92 Cr (1,92,18,099) adolescents have been administered with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
