New Delhi: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast suggests a generally cloudy sky with light rain on Wednesday. The minimum temperature is likely to settle at 21 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature at 30 degrees Celsius. The national capital, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, parts of Rajasthan, has been witnessing light to moderate spells of intermittent rainfall for the last five days.
IMD also warned of a cyclonic circulation that lies over Punjab and adjoining Haryana in lower tropospheric levels. another cyclonic circulation lies over Kerela in lower tropospheric levels and a trough from this cyclonic circulation can also run to southwest Madhya Pradesh.
The rainfall recorded in October so far is 128.2mm i.e. around four times the normal rainfall and three times the precipitation recorded in the monsoon month of August. The rainfall this year has been highest for October since 1956. Delhi recorded 236.2 mm of rainfall this month.
