Telangana: Telangana DGP on Thursday morning declared the death of rape and murder accused Pallakonda Raju a week after he committed the heinous crime.
Sources reported that the accused body was found near the railway tracks in Ghanpur station in Warangal. Following which the Telangana DGP confirmed the news after verification of the identification marks on the deceased body. “We have reasons to think it is the suspect – tattoo marks on hands, name tattooed on his hand, his hairstyle…A fingerprint analysis will confirm it,” the Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said. Taking to Twitter the police said the images of the man dead body and suspects’ death due to suicide.
The news of the death of the accused comes two days after Labour Minister Mallareddy commented to kill the rapist in an encounter.
The 30-year-old identified as Raju was accused of committing brutal rape and murder of a six-year-old girl on Sept 9 in Saidabad. The dead body of the victim was found in the Raju’s house following which he was absconding. The police had engaged nine special teams in limits of three police commissioners. On September 14 the Rachakonda police had announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh on the accused. Posters were installed in social gathering areas, buses and autos to provide further details of the accused to the citizens.
