Bollywood: The teaser of the much-awaited Alia Bhatt starrer Sanjay Leela Bhansali production Gangubai Kathiawadi released on February 24th, on the occasion of SLB’s birthday. Sharing the teaser on her social media platforms, Alia wrote, “Happy Birthday Sir.. I can think of no better way to celebrate you and your birthday. Presenting a part of my heart & soul. Meet .. Gangu!❤️ #Gangubai Kathiyawadi #SanjayLeelaBhansali.”
Now, another good news comes in from the Bhansali production house. The Hum Dil de Chuke Sanam actor is working again with Sanjay Leela Bhansali after 22 years. He has joined the cast of Gangubai Kathiyawadi and will soon start working on the project. Announcing the same on Twitter, the Bhansali production house posted a picture of Ajay and Bhansali together with the caption, “We are happy to have @ajaydevgn join the team of #GangubaiKathiawadi @aliaa08 #SanjayLeelaBhansali.”
Also, this is the first time Alia is working with this actor-director duo. Bhansali has delivered massive hits with actors and actresses since the 90s. Some of his impeccable presentations include, Devdas, Padmaavat, Saawariya, Bajirao Mastani, to name a few. And as intriguing as the trailer looks, we can assume that Gangubai Kathiawadi will also deliver the same genre as he has maintained till now.
