NEW DELHI: With the cancellation of CBSE Board Examinations, the anxiety in students concerning National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and JEE (Mains) examinations have increased. Many students have taken to their various social media handles, requesting National Testing Agency and HRD Minister to cancel the July Exams or let them know the future of these examinations.

Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Thursday said that a panel will review the situation for conducting Medical (NEET) and Engineering (JEE) entrance exams amid the growing number of coronavirus cases and whether the condition suitable for the exams anytime soon.

“Looking at the prevailing circumstances & requests received from students & parents appearing for JEE & NEET examinations, a committee consisting of officials from National Testing Agency (NTA) & other experts has been advised to review the situation & submit its recommendations latest by tomorrow.” the HRD Minister said on Twitter

While NEET exam date 2020 is July 26 and for JEE Mains 2020 exam is July 18 to 23. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had last week canceled the remaining exams of Class 10th and 12th which was scheduled from July 1 to July 15.

As per the guidelines of Unlock 2.0 issued on Monday stated that the schools and all the educational institution will continue to remain close till July 31, this led the entrance exam aspirants in a fix whether the scheduled exam this month will be held or not.
