Kangra: Chakki railway bridge in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh collapsed today. The bridge collapsed because of a flash flood, according to the Kangra district magistrate, although Northern Railways claims that the water level has not dropped yet. the video of the collapsed bridge has gone viral.

Early on Saturday morning in Mandi, there was a flash flood that completely disrupted life, damaged property, and forced locals to leave their houses for safer places.

Many parts of the state are shut down due to the constant rain. The state disaster response force had earlier reported that the was flood brought by the overflowing Beas river. It had engulfed the village of Kheri in the Hamirpur district, also it was anticipated that 15 to 20 people were trapped inside their homes. These people have now been evacuated safely.

The weather service issued a warning about heavy rainfall in the state’s Kangra, Chamba, Bilaspur, Sirmaur, and Mandi districts. All public and private educational institutions in the Mandi district are closed today due to the state’s heavy rainfall alert. The only exceptions are colleges and ITI.
